1. Race weekend schedule and rules
- 19:00 (18:00 CET) – Official Free Practice.
- 19:55 (18:55 CET) – Qualifying. Each driver is limited to 4 laps. The setup is unlocked. The tyre wear is kept for the start of the race.
- 20:05 (19:05 CET) – Warm Up Session.
- 20:10 (19:10 CET) – Start of the race (75% distance, no refuelling and minimum 1 pitstop).
2. Parc Ferme and Tire compound rules
- Parc Ferme will be enabled, which means that once you set a timed lap during Qualifying, your setup will be locked for the race, with the exception of: Fuel amount, RPM Limiter, Engine Boost, Front Wing, Steering Lock, Brake Bias and Brake Pressure.
- The allowed tyre compounds will be announced on the website prior to each event. All drivers have to use two of the compounds at least once during a race. Exception to this rule is when either Intermediate or Wet tyres are used in rainy weather conditions or a damp track.
- Each driver should choose their preferred tyre compound at the beginning of Qualifying, and is forbidden to change that compound until the end of the session. Each driver has to start the race with the same tyre compound which he/she used in Qualifying.
3. Settings of the race server
- Fuel consumption, tyre wear and mechanical failures will be set to “Normal”.
- Car Damage will be set to 35%.
4. Allowed driver aids
- Drivers outside the top 6 in the Standings, are allowed to use the following in-game aids: Auto Clutch ON, Low Traction Control, Low Anti-Lock Brakes, Auto-Shifting ON. All other aids will be disallowed by the server settings.
- All drivers have to set their Multiplayer Connection to “LAN” in the game menu.
5. Main guidelines, rules and settings during the race weekend
- In the case of car damage as a result of contact, the following repairs can be done during a pitstop: Repair Body (front wing replacement only) and Repair All (front wing and suspension repairs, excluding lost wheels). The level of repairs can be controlled via the pitstop section of the in-car HUD display menu.
- In the case of heavy damage, the driver is obliged to make a pitstop for repairs as soon as possible, so he/she would not impede other drivers or create potentially risky situations. If there are 3 or less remaining laps in the race, the driver has the right to reach the finish without stopping, but only if he/she drives off the ideal line and let other drivers by without slowing them down.
- The flags shown while on track are controlled automatically by the game and drivers have to abide by all limitations and/or penalties in accordance to the shown flag. For more information, please check point 10 in this section of the rulebook.
- Going above the speed limit in the pitlane is strictly forbidden for all official sessions of the race weekend.
- All drivers have the following obligations when driving in the pitlane:
– The pitlane entry and exit lights should be respected.
– If a driver is coming out of his/her pit stall and there are other cars in front who are waiting for the green light on pit exit, the driver has to wait behind the nearest car in front. In no circumstances is a driver allowed to position his/her car next to another car in the pitlane.
– The pitlane entry and exit continuous lines cannot be crossed (but can be stepped on)! - Driving in the opposite direction on the track is completely forbidden in all sessions!
6. Restarting the race. Formation Lap.
- The official race will not be restarted for any reasons except serious technical issues on server side, such as connection loss or system crash.
- Each race will begin with a formation lap. Drivers have the following obligations during that lap:
– Any intensive/sudden warming up of brakes and tyres should preferably be done in the last sector of the track.
– Each driver should keep a minimum of two car lengths distance to the car in front, so he/she can react on time in case of emergency.
– A driver should never stop completely within the limits of the track. Exceptions from this are if a driver has spun around and has to wait for the nearby cars to pass by before continuing safely.
– Any driver who has spun is obliged to let all other drivers through and then follow them without overtaking until everyone has reached the starting grid. Only then he/she is allowed to retake his/her original position on the grid.
– All drivers should maintain a proper pack during the formation lap and not spread out too much by going too fast or too slow.
– The leading driver should aim to maintain a speed between 80 km/h and 220 km/h, depending on the track layout.
7. Rules and definitions for attacking, defending and blocking
- More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. Any driver moving back towards the racing line, having earlier defended his position off-line, should leave at least one car width between his own car and the edge of the track on the approach to the corner.
- Any driver defending his position on a straight, and before any braking area, may use the full width of the track during his first move, provided no significant portion of the car attempting to pass is alongside his. Whilst defending in this way the driver may not leave the track without justifiable reason. For the avoidance of doubt, if any part of the front wing of the car attempting to pass is alongside the rear wheel of the car in front this will be deemed to be a ‘significant portion’.
- Maneuvers liable to hinder other drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are not permitted.
8. Track limits
- Definitions of track limits: the asphalt/tarmac surface, limited by colored lines that overlap with the curbs. The kerbs are not considered part of the track, but drivers are allowed to use them, as long as they don’t go over them with all 4 wheels. Exceptions may be made for tracks and corners where that doesn’t give an advantage or is done for safety reasons.
- Any driver whose vehicle has all 4 wheels outside the boundaries of the track, should not force any of the drivers to change direction or speed by his return back onto the track.
- If a driver loses control of his car and ends up positioned 90 degrees or more against the direction of travel, he/she has to wait all upcoming vehicles before continuing.
- All drivers should drive within the limits of the track, unless they’re involved in an accident or are taking action to avoid an accident. Any driver who goes beyond the limit of the track with all 4 wheels and gains an advantage by doing that, is obliged to slow down momentarily immediately afterwards.
- If a driver gains a position by cutting the track, he/she has to let by all drivers who he/she overtook as a result of the cut and then wait at least one corner before making an attack against those drivers.
9. Pitstop rules
- Any driver making a pitstop has to wait for any passing by vehicles before accelerating off his/her pit stall.
- In the case of overlap between two cars in the pitlane, the right for position goes to the driver in front, while the other driver should lift off and slot behind.
- Drivers on track have priority over those who are exiting the pits, therefore a driver exiting the pits should not impede anyone who is already out on track.
10. Main flag rules and driver obligations under different flags
- Yellow flag:
– This flag is shown in the case of an incident and when a car is moving at under 40 km/h.
– When shown yellow flags, the drivers should carry on with increased attention. It is suggested not to undergo an overtake until the yellow flag disappears. - Blue flag:
– During the race, a blue flag is shown to a driver who is about to be lapped by another driver.
– During qualifying and free practice, blue flag is shown to drivers who are in their warm up lap and have a driver on a flying lap coming behind them.
– The driver who is shown this flag has to, at first possible opportunity, let through the driver(s) who are lapping him or are on a flying lap.
– It is advised to let through drivers on a straight or on the exit of a corner, with the slower driver moving off the racing line.
– Sudden change in speed or direction can cause incidents and is to be avoided.
– A driver who is lapping another driver should give his colleague enough time so the latter can acknowledge the situation and let him/her through safely.
11. Chat rules
- Chatting during the official Qualifying and Race sessions is forbidden! Exceptions are allowed if a driver is reporting a technical problem.
- Private chat is allowed and preferred between players. To send a private message to another player, just use this command: /w player_name message
